 CAENexus is a novel CAE pre-processor based on unique abstract modeling technology intended to reliably automate CAE workflows and facilitate simulation based design (SBD).  CAENexus is a product suite which contains different sub-products under it. These are as below.

  1. FluidNexus supporting CFD solvers
  2. FEANexus supporting structural/FEA solvers

 FluidNexus and it's predecessor FluidConnection were the initial offering from Novus Nexus and have been successfully used for over ten years. FluidNexus relieves CFD analysts from routine, time-wasting tasks through robust and efficient automated pre-processing.   

FluidNexus supports CFD solvers such as Acusolve, Fluent, OpenFOAM etc.

 FEANexus has recently been added to the Novus Nexus solution suite as a novel FEA/structural pre-processor intended, like FkuidNexus, to facilitate efficient, automated simulation-based design (SBD) processes delivering reliable results for decision making. 

 FEANexus supports structural/FEA solvers such as Abaqus, Ansys Mechanical, OptiStruct, and MSC Nastran. 


CAENexus Basic Concepts

 

  • CAENexus avoids geometry conversion and clean-up efforts by using CAD system functionality to create the finite element mesh directly from the CAD model.
  • The mesh is always created automatically, which accelerates this step in the simulation process.
  • Finally, CAENexus employs geometry-independent, re-usable Abstract Models to define a structural or CFD simulation model. When combined with a CAD model, Abstract Models behave like a recipe (or a simulation app) to automatically execute the type of simulation they have been created for. Thanks to the automated process, they always create the same accuracy, comparable results, whether used by simulation specialists or product designers without simulation knowledge. Hence, CAE verifications can be performed when needed and not only when an analyst is available
